Wickerbasket Ruler Guide

This ruler guide is required to make the wickerbasket. Originally this ruler guide was provided in PSP tube formate as a zip file for download. Unfortunately Fortunecity does not permit zip or any other type of downloadable file.

The only soloution to this problem requires you to do a little work. It is actually not all that difficult and I have given it in the form of tutorial.

These are instructions to download and turn the guide.gif image into a PSP picture tube. The instructions are valid for both PSP 6 & 7.

1. Right click on the ruler guide image above. Choose Save Image or Save Image As from the pop-up menu. Save the image to your harddrive, but rememer where you save'd it.

2. Open the image in PSP.

3. Go to Colors/Increase Color Depth/16 Million Colors (24bit) or press the Shift+Ctrl+0 keys.

4. Go to Edit/Copy.

5. Go to File/Close. Whether or not you want to save the change is up to you. I wouldn't bother because once you make the tube, this image is of no further use and should be deleted so you don't waste precious hd space.

6. Go to File/New/400x400/Transparent/16 Million Colors. Note: it is important to use 400x400. If you don't the guide will not work properly in the tutorial.

7. Go to Edit/Paste/As New Layer.

8. Choose the Magic Wand/RGB Value/Tolerance 0/Feather 0/Same Merged Unchecked. Left click anywhere on the white area of the image.

9. Go to Edit/Clear or press the Delete key. The white background should become transparent.

10. Go to Selections/Select None.

11. Go to Layers/Merge/Merge Visible.

12. Go to File/Export/Picture Tube. Give the guide a name and then click Ok.

A little bit of work but you are now the proud momma or poppa of a wickerbasket ruler guide. Congratulations.
